Rattan underplates

A suggestive natural table
How to set the table without a tablecloth and obtain a charming natural table
The rattan chargers Calamus are refined accessories that combine practicality and beauty, harmonizing naturally in different types of kitchens.
What is rattan?
In botany, the name rattan includes various species of climbing palms: mainly the Calamus Rotang, native to East Asia, whose vines reach up to 200 meters in length. Rattan is a light, flexible and elastic wood. After harvesting and careful selection, the material is cut into thin strips which can be intertwined thanks to their great flexibility.
The weave of natural fibers obtained is also called rattan. The production is carried out entirely by hand, which is why no rattan object is similar to another and today there are many synthetic reproductions on the market.
The rattan chargers represent a suggestive return to the origins due to their artisanal charm and completely natural raw material. These characteristics give an ethnic and sophisticated touch to the table, transmitting authenticity and connection with nature, rustic and chic nuances that add warmth and familiarity to all contexts.
A way to set the table without a tablecloth, but with style
Rattan chargers are well suited for use on different occasions: alone for an informal lunch, combined with a linen tablecloth for a more elegant evening.
In all their versions (dark, light and rough rattan), the placemats blend perfectly in outdoor settings or terraces, recalling botanical elements such as plants and flowers, discreetly becoming part of the context.
